We offer
- Small classes in rooms furnished with modern equipment
- The best support from vocational and special-needs teachers; employees of the institute for professional training; occupational, speech, and physiotherapists; physicians as well as from social and psychological special services
- Close collaboration with staff from the employment agency to ensure successful vocational training
- Stay in the school boarding house or boarding school/external residential group upon request
QUALIFICATION YEAR FOR WORK/ PROFESSIONAL PREPARATION YEAR
- One year of full-time instruction in general education subjects, dedicated theoretical and practical instructions (professional domains of metal, home economics, business and administration)
- Binding work placement in a company
- Targeted development of key qualifications required in the professional and work environment

- Preparation for training in a recognised profession
- Option to acquire secondary-school diploma (Mittelschulabschluss)

- Part-time instruction
- Duration: approx. 11-18 months
- Enrolment possible also during the school year
- On-site experience in the professional domains of office administration, metal, printing, home economics, and in orthopaedic technology
- Helps finding an appropriate profession and/or prepares for vocational training
- Upon successful completion, the training can lead to an apprenticeship in a recognised profession
- Secondary-school diploma can be attained with 15 hours of school-based instruction
The decision for implementation lies with the profession counselling of the competent employment agency.
